WELCOME

If you are seeking relaxation, rejuvenation and harmonious balance within your mind and body, let me provide a wonderful, non-invasive, therapeutic treatment tailored to your needs and designed to improve your wellbeing. Reflexology is a holistic therapy that aims to achieve natural pain relief, stress reduction and overall wellbeing that encourages the body to heal itself.

WHAT IS REFLEXOLOGY?
The practice of reflexology originated in Egypt, China and India before being introduced to Europe by Dr William Fitzgerald in the 1900's and further developed by Eunace Ingham in the 1930's. She famously said, "If you're feeling out of kilter, don't know why or what about, let your feet reveal the answer, find the sore spot, work it out".

Reflexology is a complementary therapy meaning that it complements other forms of holistic treatments and should never be used as an alternative to, or chosen over medical advice. Reflexologists will never diagnose or claim to cure but will treat you based on your individual needs and see you as a whole person.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Reflexology is based on the belief that energy channels run from the top of our heads to the tips of our toes, passing though all of the organs and systems in our body, systems which are mapped not only on our feet but also on our hands and ears.
If there is a blockage in any of our energy channels, it is believed that ill health may result and the gentle touch used by reflexologists to work specific areas on the foot helps release the potential blockage and encourage self healing.

ABOUT ME
My path to reflexology began unexpectedly through a heartfelt conversation while I was giving a talk to caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's disease as a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist for the NHS. Intrigued by the potential benefits of this holistic therapy I plunged into the world of reflexology. After experiencing a treatment myself, I felt an undeniable connection and signed up for the training without hesitation. From that moment, I was hooked!

I graduated in 2017 as a Level 5 Clinical Reflexologist from the Contemporary Reflexology College and am fully registered with the Association of Reflexologists to practice. I love every minute of seeing the benefits for my clients and alongside my particular interest in women's health, I have specialist qualifications in:
-
Enhancing Fertility and Maternity Care
-
Adapting Reflexology for Palliative Care
-
NEPIP (NeuroEndoPsychoImmunoPody)
-
Auricular Reflexology

My work for the NHS means that I also have in-depth knowledge of many progressive neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Stroke and Dementia as well as Learning Disabilities.
If you're feeling out of kilter and are ready to explore the therapeutic benefits, I invite you to experience the soothing touch and transformative power of my treatments.
I will take a full medical history and ask you to remove your shoes and socks before lying on the treatment couch ensuring you are warm and comfortable. We will establish what pressure of touch works for you so that you feel completely at ease and the treatment, which lasts approximately 40 minutes, will allow you step out of the busy world that we all live in. You can expect a calming, supportive environment where your individual needs take centre stage. If you're not sure, please get in touch and and we can chat through your needs to help you decide.
